Edit my clips like this one: a creator walkthrough
The shortest brief we support is the one creators actually say out loud: edit my clips like this one. No style guide, no prompt engineering. A reference video and a folder of footage.
What you hand over
- One reference video whose editing you like. Ideally one of your own that performed the way you wanted.
- Your new clips, up to 30 per edit.
- Optionally a music track you have the rights to use.
What happens
The reference is analyzed for 2 credits. That measures where every cut lands, how long shots hold, how cuts line up with the beat, caption position, size and highlight color, and how long the hook lasts. Then an edit is cut from your clips for 5 credits.
POST /v1/edits
{ "styleId": "<your style>", "clipAssetIds": ["<clip>", "<clip>", "<clip>"], "musicAssetId": "<track>", "brief": "Morning routine before a 6am shift" }
If you leave out the captions, they are written from your brief in the voice of the reference. If you pass captions, the first line is the hook.
What you get back
An mp4 that follows the reference's structure, with cuts snapped to your track's beat, captions in the reference's look, audio normalized for social platforms, and a quality check for black frames, frozen picture and bad audio. You also get the plan file, so you can see which clip filled each slot.
Reuse the style
The style is saved, so the next video in the series is just new clips and 5 credits. Different music or captions gives you variants to test without analyzing again.
