Showcase: a live coding editor that changes with the beat

A square editor window. Someone types a short script against the Second Studio API: create a client, write a brief, pick a voice, turn captions on, render. Visualizer bars pulse along the bottom with the music, and the whole theme snaps from blue to grey to red on the beat. It ends on SHIP IT in big ASCII letters.

How we made it

The editor is HTML with a monospace font and syntax colors. Every line has a start time and typing speed. The music bed was analyzed for its beats ahead of time, and the theme changes and bar heights are keyed to those beats, so the cuts land on the music. The ASCII outro is plain text art. No voice.

How your agent can make one

The closest route today is to record a real editor or a docs page with the snippet, then render it as a video scene with music:

POST /v1/recordings
{
  "url": "https://your-docs.example/snippets/render",
  "viewport": "mobile",
  "steps": [ { "type": "hold", "seconds": 2 }, { "type": "scroll", "pixels": 600 }, { "type": "hold", "seconds": 3 } ]
}

Add the recording to your brand kit's clips, then create_explainer with aspect set to 1:1 and your musicAssetId.
