A recurring mascot your agent can direct

Generated characters have a consistency problem. You get a great first image, and by the fourth one the character has a different face. For a brand mascot that is a deal breaker, so we made characters a stored object rather than a prompt you repeat.

Here is the walkthrough with a placeholder mascot, a cartoon chili pepper we call Chip in our docs.

Create the character once

POST /v1/characters
{ "name": "Chip", "description": "A friendly cartoon chili pepper mascot: glossy red body, curly green stem cap, big warm eyes, tiny white chef's apron. 3D animated film look." }

Second Studio generates a character sheet and stores it. You can also pass reference photos if you already have artwork. Creating a character costs the same as one image, 4 credits.

Use it in scenes

POST /v1/images
{ "kind": "scene", "characterIds": ["<chip>"], "aspect": "9:16", "brief": "Chip stirs a pot on a sunlit stove, steam rising, wearing his apron." }

Every scene references the stored sheet, so the character stays the same from post to post. Each image is 4 credits, or 1 credit if you connect your own image provider key.

Move it

For a short clip, ask for a quote first:

POST /v1/videos
{ "brief": "slow push in on Chip stirring a pot, steam rising", "characterIds": ["<chip>"], "duration": 6, "estimate": true }

Generated video is priced per request from the model provider's price, so the estimate tells you the cost before anything runs. With your own provider key, it is a 2 credit platform fee.

Put it into footage you already have

You can also swap a stored character into an existing clip or photo, and the original camera, lighting and other people stay as they were. Those jobs are quoted per shot too.

Why this matters for agents

An agent cannot keep a mental picture of your mascot. It can keep an id. Once the character is stored, any agent on your team can direct it in a sentence, and the result still looks like your brand.
