Showcase: a cinematic short with a voxel hero
Three acts in sixteen seconds. A slow push through a dark, rain streaked office. A wall of monitors lights up one word at a time: "Not the timeline editor." Then a cut to daylight and a blocky orange hero with one big eye waves at the camera: "Your agent." It closes on the Second Studio wordmark.
How we made it
- Each act is one generated still: the dark office, the same room with the monitors, and the hero in a sunlit courtyard. We move a virtual camera over each still, a dolly in for the first and a gentle drift for the last, which is enough to feel like film.
- The words on the monitors are HTML, not baked into the image, so they glow cleanly and appear exactly on the narration.
- The narration is a stock voice. A typewriter caption at the top and mono captions at the bottom follow it, with the last word of each line highlighted.
- A short music bed and a couple of soft hits carry the cuts.
Honest limit: these are stills with camera moves. The hero does not walk or gesture. For that you would add a generated video shot.
How your agent can make one
Make the stills and the character first, then use them as image scenes in an explainer with voice on:
POST /v1/characters
{ "name": "Blocky", "description": "orange voxel character with one large camera eye and a small gold crown" }
POST /v1/images
{ "kind": "scene", "characterIds": ["<Blocky>"], "aspect": "16:9", "brief": "Blocky waves at the camera in a sunlit stone courtyard, voxel style" }
Then create_explainer with three image scenes and a short script. Only images saved in your brand kit can appear in a video, so add the image to the kit first. If you want real motion on the last shot, ask generate_video for a quote first.
