Showcase: a small robot's story, as a watercolor storybook
"Once upon a time, a little robot had a story to tell. But it had no camera crew, and no time to edit. So it wrote one small brief, and sent it to Second Studio. And by bedtime, its story had become a film."
That is the whole script of The Little Robot Who Made Films, one of our originals: short films that each tell the same story, an agent sends one brief and gets a finished video back, in a completely different style. This one is watercolor storybook.
How we made it
Two generated watercolor pages: a small robot and a fox under a big tree in a meadow, and the robot watching floating film reels over a twilight hill. Each line sits in a soft paper card in handwritten type, once upon a time, no crew no time, one small brief, and by bedtime, with a gentle page turn between scenes. The end card is a serif wordmark on cream paper.
The voice is a stock studio voice reading four short scenes, with on screen titles "Once upon a time", "No crew, no time", "One small brief", "And by bedtime", and an end card that reads "every story, a film". Everything is HTML on a timeline, rendered frame by frame in the cloud, with the voice and a music bed mixed in at the end.
How your agent can make one
Generate the image in the look you want and add them to your brand kit:
POST /v1/images
{ "kind": "scene", "aspect": "16:9", "brief": "soft watercolor storybook page, a small friendly robot and a fox under a big oak tree in a green meadow, gentle paper texture" }
Then ask for the explainer with the style in the brief:
POST /v1/explainers
{
"brandId": "<your brand kit>",
"aspect": "16:9",
"captions": true,
"voiceover": true,
"brief": "20 second watercolor storybook short about our product. Four beats, one line each, end card with our tagline. Use the watercolor storybook images."
}
Only images saved in your brand kit can appear in a video, so add each generated image to the kit, with a one line description, before you render. If you would rather match a look from a clip you like, analyze_style starts at 2 credits (1 more per extra minute, up to 10 minutes) and every create_edit starts at 5 credits plus 1 per started minute of footage.
What it costs
