Showcase: a screen tutorial with a step sidebar and a mascot host

A short walkthrough of making a video with Second Studio: connect with MCP or an API key, give a brief and a reference clip, let the agent choose, render and get a link, compare the original with yours. A step list on the right ticks forward, captions run along the bottom, and a small orange mascot in the corner pulses as it speaks.

Tutorials like this usually have a person in a circle in the corner. We used a mascot instead, so nobody had to be filmed and nothing had to be lip synced.

How we made it

  1. Each line of the script gets its own UI screen, built in HTML.
  2. The sidebar is a list where the active step is highlighted, timed to the voice.
  3. The mascot is one generated character image that scales gently with the voice level.
  4. A stock studio voice and captions.

How your agent can make one

This is close to what the explainer does out of the box. Record your product, add the clip and a mascot image to your brand kit, then:

POST /v1/explainers
{
  "brandId": "<your brand kit>",
  "aspect": "16:9",
  "captions": true,
  "voiceover": true,
  "brief": "25 second tutorial. One step per scene: connect, brief, choose, render, share. Show the recording in each step. Mascot image in the corner."
}

Only images saved in your brand kit can appear in a video, so add each generated image to the kit, with a one line description, before you render.
