Showcase: the tiniest film studio, in claymation
A plasticine robot at a clay desk, a little camera and clapperboard beside it, a clay machine with an orange screen squeezing out film. The narration: "Meet the tiniest film studio in the world. Your agent sends one brief, through our API or MCP. Second Studio sculpts the scenes, the voice, and the captions. And out pops a finished video. No clay required."
This is one of our originals, a set of short films each made in a different style, all about the same idea.
How we made it
- Two generated images, both in a plasticine look: the robot at its desk, and the clay film machine.
- The stop motion feel comes from timing, not footage. Every move, the camera drift, the caption cards, the small bob on the robot, is stepped to 12 frames a second, the way hand animated clay is shot. That one choice does most of the work.
- Four scenes, each with a caption card in a warm orange label style and a small kicker line above it.
- A stock studio voice reads the script, and the captions follow it.
- It ends on a cream card with the wordmark and "video your agents can make".
How your agent can make one
Generate the two clay images, add them to your brand kit, then ask for the explainer:
POST /v1/images
{ "kind": "scene", "aspect": "16:9", "brief": "plasticine claymation robot sitting at a clay desk with a tiny film camera, warm handmade look" }
POST /v1/explainers
{
"brandId": "<your brand kit>",
"aspect": "16:9",
"captions": true,
"voiceover": true,
"brief": "20 second claymation style short. Four beats: meet the tiniest studio, one brief in, scenes voice and captions, a finished video. Use the two clay images."
}
Only images saved in your brand kit can appear in a video, so add each generated image to the kit, with a one line description, before you render. Stepped 12 fps motion is a look we use in our own originals and are adding as a style option.
What it costs
| Step | Credits |
|---|---|
| Two clay images | 8 |
| Script | 2 |
| Render with voice and captions, under a minute | 12 |
| Total | 22 |
That is $2.20 on the $10 starter pack.
